Watchcraft by Eduardo Milieris

Born in Montevideo, Uruguay and initially inspired by the work of Alexander Calder, Eduardo Milieris began painting the glass crystal of his watch beautifully colored markers at age ten. Thus began an artistic career motivated by the integration of art and time. Eduardo's favorite slogan is: Ars Longa, Vita Brevis (Art Lasts, Life is Brief).

Eduardo has experimented with photography, video art and sculpture. His signature work, the Slow Reading Clock, a piece comprised of three, one-handed dials, each dial reading the hours, minutes, and seconds respectively, was the first step toward the beginning of his company, Watchcraftâ.

Today, his unique watches are crafted in his New York City studio. Clarksville is delighted to represent Watchcraftâ along with top galleries and museum stores around the world.
